Information about accessing our therapy services
First steps
We welcome you to send us an email letting us know a bit about what support you are looking for and sharing any questions you have for us. We can then discuss our availability and, if appropriate, we can arrange an initial consultation.
Initial consultation
Our initial consultation session is an opportunity to find out more about what you are wanting help with. We will want to know about you or your child's interests, hobbies and what makes you/them come alive as well as areas of challenge. We will ask about your best hopes for the work and we will make a plan together about best next steps.
If you are a parent/carer seeking therapy for your child, we will think through with you who might attend this initial session. We may suggest that we meet with just you for the initial session as this allows space for you to talk openly about your concerns without your child being present. This is particularly helpful for younger children. We will then usually offer a second consultation session where we also meet your child and our aim here is to engage with them and ensure they are part of the decision making process.
Therapy and interventions
Some people come to see us for a brief number of sessions for help with a specific difficulty, while others are looking for an ongoing, regular space to express themselves and explore their lives and identities. As with all our work, we want to ensure the therapy feels comfortable, safe and of course helpful. Together with you, we will make a clear plan at the start of the work and we will ensure that we regularly review our therapeutic work.
Session fees
Our sessions are normally 50-minutes and the fee is £120 per session. Dr Daniel Glazer is registered with most major insurers.
Cancellation
We understand that you may need to cancel your sessions from time to time, and we kindly ask that you give us a minimum of 24 hours notice. Cancellation with less than 24 hours will need to be charged at full rate.
