I am a counselling psychologist, chartered with the British Psychological Society and registered with the Health Care Professions Council. I completed my Doctorate in Counselling Psychology at the University of East London. My passion lies in promoting the emotional and psychological well-being of children and young people. I have worked extensively in this field for over 10 years, in various settings including charities, NHS services, and schools.
I have significant experience of providing psychological therapy to children, young people and families, who present with a range of difficulties including depression, anxiety, post-traumatic symptoms, loss and bereavement, divorce, bullying, relational problems, abuse, and domestic violence. Alongside my private practice, I currently hold a post at Barnet CAMHS, predominantly working in partnership with schools to deliver therapy, groups, training, and supervision.
My therapeutic approach is informed by a number of therapy models including cognitive-behavioural, systemic, narrative and solution-focussed therapies. I also draw on creative modalities of arts, drama and play, as well as mindfulness and meditation. The extent to which I employ these models depends largely on the child and their family and on what makes sense for them and their therapeutic goals.
I am passionate about working in partnership with children and their families to ensure that the service I provide is relevant and effective. I welcome you to contact me to find out more about how I work and to arrange an initial consultation.
